There are two types of commissioning. The, 'I like the one of the poppy but I'd like the background green', is the easy type and is unlikely to add to the cost; changing a significant area to red or orange will though, as the 'warm' coloured glasses can cost quite a bit more. Just let me know what you want and we'll see what we can do. The second type of commissioning is for unique work. This carries a higher cost and the process has to be more formal. I've detailed that process below

Normally this will involve a preliminary discussion by telephone to determine the nature of the job and the interests/expectations of the client, possible exchange of photographs of the site and other relevant visual material and a very rough estimate of the potential cost plus brief design sketches if the price seems feasable. Subject to agreement/contract I will normally visit the client to measure up and familiarise myself with the site, clarify stylistic preferences, possible glass colours and any other material and installation considerations.

A detailed estimate will then be supplied. Subject to confirmed contracts I will then draw up detailed designs and colouring choices to be confirmed. Delivery may be in person or by suitable carrier. Installation will require a locally contracted glazier/other, except in the most simple circumstances.
